    Lets Celebrate No Tickets!


    The Sox are the only team in the Major Leagues to sell out every home game thus far this season.

    "This remarkable achievement is a testament to the passion and commitment of the fans of Red Sox Nation, as well as a credit to our exceptional sales force and ticket office," said President/CEO Larry Lucchino. "We are well aware that our loyal fans wish we had more seats to accommodate them."


    Though talent is the biggest reason the Sox are on pace for their second consecutive postseason appearance, their overwhelmingly supportive fan base certainly hasn't hurt. The Sox entered Wednesday night's game with a 49-23 record at Fenway Park.

    Boston designated hitter David Ortiz was asked if the support of the fans had a significant bearing on how well the team plays at home.

    "I think so," said Ortiz. "I love it. I think that's great."
