Nixon did what Ortiz and Manny could not in the seventh inning, hit a 98 mile per hour fast ball out of the park, it just so happened that Nixon's long ball was a grand slam. Nixon Put Putz in a hole they could never dig out of.

• Miller gave up back to back home runs after having a decent outing.
• Manny continued to lower his average , all the while hitting another solo homer.
• Ortiz now bats third not Manny.
• Damon ended his 18 game hitting streak.
