"I AM AN ABOVE 500 PITCHER! I TELL YAH."

Lowe reaffirms himself as he leaves the mound in the first inning. What do you know? It worked. With the win (8-4) on Monday Lowe's record went to 11-10 mmm fancy. After the big bats rang silent Sunday, Monday the offense made some noise. Johnny Damon 2 (62), Dave Roberts (24), Kevin Millar 2 (51), Jason Varitek (58), Orlando Cabrera 2 (36)all knocked in their respective runs. D Lowe was D Lowe giving up his proverbial 3 earned runs, doing nothing to lower his gastric ERA. But putting himself in a position to win the game if the offense put up football numbers. Foulke got his 20 save of the year. Hooray! For the bull pen! They didn't foulke up a lead.
The story of the night was Manischewitz starting for the first time ever at second base. Manager Francona; that doesn't seem like a good idea what do you think about it?
We're not going to do it the rest of the year,'' Francona said. ``It's for tonight's game and gives us our best chance.''
