Is this what a win feels like?
With a score of 8-4 in Fenway the words ding dong might be coming to mind. Especially if the Tampa Bay Devil Rays are in town. But no, tonight was a night of manufactured runs. Well that is not completely true, you can't manufacture 5 runs in an inning, unless your company's name is Bad Pitching INC.
Bronson Arroyo was graced with just his 5th win of the year. Too bad he has pitched about 13 of them by now.
Umm, I think that is a complement. Thanks Kevin.
Where did Many Ortiz go? Over the past seven days Manny and Ortiz have only 1 ding dong to their name but more importantly only 5 hits. At least one of the big boys has to produce. Fortunately Varitek and Mueller have been swinging a hot bat of late. Tonight Tek money made the difference scoring two runs and knocking in two runs in his 4 at bats.

"Bronson's given us a quality start every time he's pitched," Kevin Millar said. "We've had trouble hitting the ball when he's on the mound, but he's as tough a fifth starter as there is in the big leagues right now."

"They've got a good offensive club," Tampa Bay manager Lou Piniella said. "Sosa was coasting along for four innings nicely, and then they finally got to him in the fifth and it continued in the sixth. They got some good two-out hitting."
