    Cabrera Walks Off the Hero

Orlando Cabrera's run-scoring double in the ninth inning gave Boston Red Sox a 5-4 win over Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday night.
Unbelievable," Cabrera said. "I mean, I have [had game-winning hits] in Montreal, but it's not 35,000 people. They deserve it. They come here every night just to support the team and hopefully get a win and I think everybody did a pretty good job today."

Pinch-hitter Dave Roberts drew a leadoff walk and Johnny Damon hit into a forceout off Kevin Frederick (0-2).

Cabrera, who has hit just 13-for-65 since he joined the Red Sox July 31, hit a drive off the left-field scoreboard. Francona has stuck with Cabrera simply because he has no other options.
I'd love to say I knew he was going to get that hit," Francona said. "The way our lineup is set up, the guys are playing more out of necessity than actually me being that bright of a guy."

The ball rebounded high in the air as Damon came around and slid in ahead of Kevin Cash's tag.

Keith Foulke (3-3) pitched a perfect ninth and Boston are now 8-3 in their last 11 games.

Cabrera is a stupid, lucky short stop for jerks. Bring back Grabeck.
