But it's great just to be able to have an award that's named after somebody that exemplified so much in this game and has brought so much history to this game. Papi Non Factor

Ortiz went 8 for 43 in October and short of 1 homer was a non-factor in the playoffs. In the last game of the season Papi was surrounded in the line up by Pedoria and Youkilis. Manny could have sat out for the August and September but once the playoffs started the Sox would have benefited from his bat in the line up even if he left it on his shoulder.
