    Manny Next Man to the DL?


    Just when things are looking up and unstopable, Manny has to go bye bye for some time.
    He was diagnosed with a left knee contusion, and the Red Sox were able to exhale after the X-rays were negative.

    Ramirez limped around in pain for a minute or so after sustaining the injury in the bottom of the fourth inning. He conferred with manager Terry Francona and trainer Jim Rowe and gathered himself enough to remain in the game, at least temporarily.
    "We're the walking wounded around here," said Red Sox center fielder Johnny Damon. "The great thing is the team that Theo [Epstein] and the ownership put together, with Manny down [left knee contusion, day-to-day], we have a Dave Roberts, we have a Gabe Kapler, to go fill in. We're going to have another different lineup tomorrow."
