Red Sox Boost Rocky Economy
The reality is the Rockies' home attendance this season most likely will decline for the eighth consecutive year, although they still rank in the middle of the attendance pack, having averaged 27,643 so far in 2004.
Tonight will mark the second time this season - the first since the home opener - the Rockies surpass 40,000 in attendance. More telling, though, is they have drawn five of the six smallest crowds in franchise history this season, including a record low of 19,667 for their April 22 game against Los Angeles.
