    Holy Schmidt!

Jason Schmidt dominated the Sox for nine straight innings and came away with a one hit shut out gem. However, pointing the finger at a better pitcher as the reason for a loss is never fun so Red Sox Nation has come away hating Edgardo Alfonzo. It was his pinch hit homer that spoiled the afternoon on Saturday, and it was the same third baseman that made the difference on Sunday. The only runs in the game came in the form of a grand slam served up by Timlin to Alfonzo in the seventh. Bronson Arroyo did his part giving up only 4 hits over 6 scoreless innings.
