    Don't Rain on Our Parade

The Mets have been having discussions within the organization about the possibility of acquiring World Series MVP Manny Ramirez from the Red Sox, according to Newsday.

If New York can't work out a deal for the slugger, the Mets could turn to Sammy Sosa as another option.

Ramirez is the Mets' top choice to help with their struggles in the outfield, although a source on the Red Sox said it's "a long shot" that the $20 million outfielder would be dealt.

The Mets are in desperate need of an estabishneed outfielder however, and if the quest for Ramirez and Sosa comes up short, New York will still likely bring in a proven player to man the outfield. The White Sox's Magglio Ordonez is one name often mentioned as a potential target.
