Ghost of ALCS Past?
Lets be honest, Grady Little was fired simply because he left Pedro in game 7 of the ALCS championship too long. Enter Terry Francona who has yet to win over any hearts and minds with his managing skills. He deployed his first hit and run of the season nearly 2 months into the season. Not a sign of a bad manager, but a sign of nervous one. But nerves can not explain why Terry Francona left Bronson Arroyo in the sixth inning to face one of the fiercest hitter in the game. You know what happened, the Sox lost the lead, and were never able to regain it. Sound familar? The only argument is that Arroyo handled Guerrero with ease in his three previous at bats (0-3). The logic is tantamount to arguing that its a good idea to keep pulling the trigger of a revolver pointed next to your head in a game of Russian roulette if the first three times didn't kill you. The Rem Dawg even pointed out it was a mistake prior to it even happening, then went on to say he got too greedy and made a mistake. Any mistake that is directly linked to losing a game is a big mistake; lets just hope this is the biggest game that Terry makes such a mistake.
