Did the Red Sox hire a new manager this year? John Farrell has quickly faded into the background and has somehow become a non-story. Last year from March 1-12 Google indexed at least 8 pages of results of web pages that had "Bobby Valentine" in the page title. This year for the exact same time frame and search parameters "John Ferrell" only produced 3 pages of results. Farrell's management style in Boston has yet to be fully known but one thing is for sure the main stream media has found far less to write about when it comes to this years manager.
