Drunken Red Sox Tweets

Is he trying to stir the pot, get his name in the news again, and sell some books? Or was he just intoxicated? Around midnight Monday evening, the long time washed up, 47 year old Jose Canseco tweeted out that he wants to try out for the Red Sox this spring. As if that wasn't ridiculos enough the stats that he sites in his tweet are wrong. Thanks to NESN.com for doing the legwork.

"Fenway 350 lifetime batting average 1 hr per every 9 at bats .I am ready to play for Boston give me a tryout."

Canseco's math is a bit off -- he's a career .312 hitter at Fenway, and has 48 home runs in 629 career at-bats in Boston (which equates to one home run per every 13 at-bats or so).
