Saturday Day Games Return to Fenway

On the last night of January all of the Red Sox top brass had a town hall meeting (think presidential election) with a select group of fans. What came out of it? Not a great deal but it was seen as a positive experience from both sides of the fence. One tidbit of information showed that the Red Sox ownership group does listen to their fans; when their fans continually pester them about a subject.

One of the things that we heard with some frequency was Saturday day games, and we've increased the number of day games that we have on Saturday to about 50/50 now, and that was an idea that we heard over and over." Larry Lucchino 01/31/2011

 And with that Saturday summer Sox day games with beer and the sun will be rreturning to Fenway. Well sort of; there are no Saturday day games scheduled for July, one Saturday day game in June, and one in August. So if you consider June, July and August as your summer you can now enjoy two Saturday day games. Hey its better than no Saturday day games like in recent years.
