The Stuff That Legands Are Made Of
Bootless Wonder
Curt Schilling thanked the lord for divine intervention after his performance Tuesday night, and can you blame him. No one expected five perfect innings for the hobbled man who can barley walk, let alone going seven innings with only giving up one run. Only Pedro coming out of the bullpen in game 5 of the 1999 ALDS rivals this type of Red Sox lore. Thank You Curt.
"He was tremendous. He's a very good pitcher, but on top of that he's got so much heart, and he competes. Thats why we wanted to give him the ball so bad we thought he would come up big, and he did." Terry Francona
