Perfectly Meaningless
The long wait is over, see that wasn't so bad. Well, almost, in 30 some odd days it will all be over when the regular season starts, but the Red Sox are playing baseball games again. Unfortunately baseball games that mean very little and very little can be gleamed from them. Last spring Keith Foulke was hit harder Baghdad Police Department, and come opening day hitters went MC Hammer on him (you can't touch this). One game and one win, or is it 9 wins in a row, or is it a good start from the biggest off season acquisition, Matt Clement (who game up one run over two innings)? None of the above, this game meant nothing and nothing good or bad can be taken from it. The good news is that in a few days when we get shelled by 10 runs that game won't mean a thing either. This game means one thing and that is a very important thing indeed. A live Red Sox game was on NESN last night, and that is very very important. All is well with the world again.
Now bask in all of its' meaningless statistical glory.
